Installation of new front door in Burlington Ontario

Out with the old and in with the new…welcome 2022 and with it a brand new front door installation.  It was time to say goodbye to 2021 and the old and draughty front door!

The customer asked about a new front door install. There were many options to explore… solid wood doors, steel doors and fibreglass doors.  There are many styles and options for windows in the door too!

There was lots of discussion on door/window designs  A fibre glass craftsmen door design was chosen.  Great choice as they have great insulation power!  The window was situated at the top part of the door and the client picked a flat black for colour.  Its winter and cold outside so I painted the door inside before install. 

Installation day was a dream and the weather cooperated with me as it was about 15 degrees outside. Before removing the old door I measured the new door and the opening one last time to double check the sizing.  Next step is cleaning up the old insulation and chalking from around the opening.  Once this was completed the new door can be installed. All went excellent and the door was in. Last but not least, the door lock and handle assembly 

The end result was what everyone was looking for…The client is happy with the new door and I must say it looks sharp.   I personally really like the Black door and it contrasts well with the white brick.
